Southern African foreign exchange retailer FX Africa and the world’s biggest forex company, Travelex, have announced a new partnership that will see FX Africa becoming Travelex’s retail representative in South Africa with immediate effect.

“The partnership will mean better-than-ever service for customers,” says FX Africa Founder and Chairman Sean Maloney. “They’ll now be receiving the benefits of local knowledge and global reach at the same time.”

Travelex Retail Foreign Exchange currently operates 22 retail outlets in South Africa.

Travelex is co-sponsoring the Taste of Jo’burg, a fun, culinary event from September 6 to 9, 2007 that involves 17 of the city’s top restaurants. Their talented chefs will serve their signature dishes outdoors on the green fields of the Wanderers Club. Diners will be able to taste sample-sized dishes, see culinary exhibitions, and enjoy the live music and entertainment.
